I have to start out with being okay just being. The value of my life is not measured by "successes" or "purposes." The fundamental building block of my life is my presence here, having the opportunity to know God and love Him, getting to know His people, and loving them too. Life is about experiencing and sharing it with God and others.
Take the pressure off
A newborn baby simply exists. They have not done anything "significant" per se. Yet even their lives are rejoiced over, they are cared for, and loved.
A part of being okay is rejoicing in your own existence.
It is understanding that we are not doing machines; we are human beings. A deer in the wild gallivants, drinks from brooks, eats, and worries about nothing; it simply lives its God-given life. So should we.
"And why worry about your clothing? Look at the lilies of the field and how they grow. They don't work or make their clothing. Yet Solomon in all of his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are. If God cares so wonderfully for wildflowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, He will certainly care for you. Why do you have so little faith?
So don't worry about these things, saying 'What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?' These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your Heavenly Father already knows all of your needs.
Seek the kingdom of God above all else, live righteously, and He will give you everything you need.
Don't worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today's trouble is enough for today." (Matthew 6:28-32)
The lilies are simply being themselves and are at peace in God.
Surrender to God, Be at peace in Him! He loves you and cares deeply for you.
